Rabati Castle, is a medieval castle complex in Akhaltsikhe, Georgia. Built in the 13th century, initially was called the Lomisa castle until it was conquered by Ottomans. According to The Georgian Chronicles the city was established by Guaram Mampal, son of the King of Tao. From the 13th to the end of 14th centuries it was the capital city of Samtskhe-Saatabago, ruled by the Georgian princely (mtavari) family and a ruling dynasty of the Principality of Samtskhe, the House of Jaqeli.

Besides the historical fortresses, towers, churches, cells, mosque there are a lot of various  modern offices, such as: tourists’ informational center, restaurant, caffee, shops where the visitors may buy  souvenirs and clothes, museum, the room with the model of town Akhaltsikhe, the wedding palace, Turkish baths, pasha’s bureal vault, citadel, amphitheatre, wine cellar, where one may taste and buy Georgian vine.

The whole territory of Rabat is surrounded by 4 traditional Georgian towers. You may climb them by inner staircases and from which one may view fantastic scenery. Ancient buildings- the so called "Darbazi” will draw your attention in Rabat.
